7th August 2006- Back to Take It's Time
Australian Idol, one of American Idol's many demonically spawned offspring has returned. And like most reality TV and game shows, it spends about half of its timeslot dragging out results and answers. It's something uniquely irritating about it, as neither genre manages to build suspense the same way movies and other purely fictional media creations do. They end up being more like talking to some bureaucrat in an office, stubbornly refusing to give you a straight answer when you want and need it.
